Stuffed Animal Clinic, Mountain View Hospital
Mountain View Hospital in Payson will be holding a Teddy Bring Clinic on October 16! Bring your favorite stuffed animal friends and see what it’s like to be a little patient at MVH. If you are looking for something to eat on Halloween, there are a lot of restaurants giving away free or discounted food!
There are many more events and activities to attend that are for Halloween that are located on Enjoy Utah! There are various corn mazes, haunted houses, and other paid activities.
We have been to many of these events in past years and have enjoyed them a lot. The Shops at Riverwoods knows how to throw great parties. Trick-or-treating in Downtown Provo has been fun when the weather is good. It gets crowded but it’s not too crowded. Plus the Candy Buy Back should be great this year with some giveaways and supporting our troops!

Evermore Pumpkin Fest
The Evermore Pumpkin Fest in Utah County will be held for the first time this year! Enjoy the largest pumpkin display in Utah while also supporting the Utah Food Bank.
To enter the pumpkin contest, it is free and the winning pumpking will win $1000! At this Halloween event and pumpkin walk, there will also be a small haunted attraction and a few other great activities (at cost).
Cash prizes for the adult category (ages 13 and up)

The Central Water Gardens are holding their annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and Pumpkin Walk. Admission is free to the Pumpkin Walk with activities for all members of the family and free donuts for those who dress up for Halloween. Visit the website for more information on the events.

Trick or Treat Village 2013
Eagle Mountain will have its annual Trick or Treat Village at Nolan Park on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10 am until 2 pm. It is free to the public and kids can enjoy walking around to various local businesses to receive candy and some fun activities. There will also be a cupcake decorating contest as well as a scarecrow contest.

Stoneykins: Pumpkin Carving Patterns & Stencils
I’ve avoided carving pumpkins because I have no creativity or imagination to create a fun pumpkin. And even if I had a fun picture that I wanted to carve, I have no idea how to go about actually carving it. And that’s why I am so glad I found Stoneykins. I cannot it believe it has taken me this long to finally find this website!
Stoneykins is a one-man show who has created close to 7500 patterns and even does custom carvings of logos, portraits, or anything else you can think of. Amazing, right? Although Stoneykins has a lot of paid patterns (which are super cheap, by the way), there are also 100 free patterns on the website and even more free patterns on Facebook.
The patterns vary from tradtitional cut-out patterns to shaded patterns which look 3D and life-like. There are full step-by-step tutorials with photos to show the proper way to carve a pumpkin from start to finish online. Stoneykins also includes a forum to help answer any and all carving questions. You may also buy carving tools on the website.
Stoneykins has been featured in Rolling Stone, This Old House, and even on Monday Night Football. I’m just so impressed, I’m not surprised that everyone else is, too.
Visit Stoneykins to get some amazing pumpkin carvings started before the Halloween season is over! There are a lot of local pumpkin parades that will be going on so this would be one great website to help you prepare your pumpkins!

The Shops at Riverwoods is holding their annual Pumpkin Parade from October 24-26, 2013.
You can go to Malawi’s Pizza from October 21-22 to pick up a pumpkin to carve (while supplies last) or carve you of your own and return it on October 24. Pumpkins will be lit from October 24-26.
