Because of this, I’ve created a guide of the best snacks at the Disneyland Resort, so you can satisfy your sweet tooth the next time you visit.

You can get the Raspberry Rose Macaron at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, which is located just at the end of Main Street U.S.A. This delectable treat is an adorable pink, Mickey shaped treat with raspberry filling sandwiched between actual raspberries to give it an extra special flair. While this macaron can easily be shared between multiple people, I would suggest treating yourself to your own because it’s just that good. Be warned, you won’t ever go to Disneyland again without eating this treat once you have it.

Mint Julep & Mickey Shaped Beignets – Mint Julep Bar:

The Mint Julep and Mickey Shaped Beignets have become a classic Disneyland treat and it’s no surprise. This is the perfect snack to have on a hot summer day and need a quick break from all of the attractions. Plus if you visit during the holiday celebrations at Disneyland, you’ll want to make sure you try the seasonal Mickey Shaped Beignets. While they release a different flavor each year, they have had peppermint, pumpkin and butterscotch in the past. However if you’re looking for a more savory snack at Café Orleans, make sure you try their Pommes Frites. These traditional French-fried potatoes are tossed with parmesan, garlic and parsley. I promise you won’t regret it.

Safari Skewer – Bengal Barbecue:

Bengal Barbecue is a hidden gem located in Adventureland, right-across the way from Indiana Jones Adventure. While they have a variety of “jungle” skewers that include beef, chicken or vegetables, my absolute favorite skewer to get is the Safari Skewer. This skewer has asparagus wrapped in crispy bacon and is truly what dreams are made of. So the next time you get off of Indiana Jones, make sure you stop at Bengal Barbecue.

Dole Whip – Enchanted Tiki Room:

Of course, most of you are probably aware of Dole Whips, but how could I not mention these delicious treats? At the Enchanted Tiki Room, you can order the legendary frozen treat known as the Dole Whip. This delectable concoction is a pineapple-flavored soft serve dessert that will change your life forever. As a tip, you can avoid the long-line at the Tiki Juice Bar by entering the Enchanted Tiki Room and ordering one from the inside.

Disneyland Churros – Street Cart:

What would a trip to Disneyland be if you didn’t have one (or three) churros?  I have yet to find a churro better than those in Disneyland, so make sure you get one when you go. You can find churros at almost any food kiosk within the park, plus, they have specialty churros you can get in Downtown Disney at the California Churro Cart. Here, you can indulge in specialty churros like Fruity Pebbles, apple cinnamon, strawberry cheesecake and more.

Chili Cone Queso – Cozy Cone Motel

If you’ve never made a pit stop at the Cozy Cone Motel, you are missing out. This area has SO many savory and sweet treats to try, that you’ll need to find enough room to eat it all. However, my favorite item at the Cozy Cone has to be the Chili Cone Queso. This delicious snack is filled with chili, cheddar cheese and corn chips, all served in a hot bread cone. If you’re looking for a snack or a small lunch item, this is one you’ll want to get.

Flavored Popcorn – Cozy Cone Motel

Speaking of our favorite Route 66 spot, you’ll also want to try some of the flavored popcorn that they have available at the Cozy Cone Motel. Not only can you get traditional butter, but you can also try flavors like dill pickle, buffalo ranch, white cheddar, sriracha, pizza and garlic parmesan. The Cozy Cone Motel is one of the best spots for snacks in Disney California Adventure, so make sure you are in route to this spot the next time you go.

Lavender Lemonade – Schmoozies

If you’re looking for the most beautiful treat in Disneyland, the Lavender Lemonade at Schmoozies is definitely it. This beverage is not only delicious, but it comes with a “glowing” cube as well. This illuminates this refreshing drink, making it the perfect drink for a summer day at Disney California Adventure.

Mickey Shaped Sourdough Bread – Pacific Wharf Café

The Mickey Shaped Sourdough Bread at the Pacific Wharf Café is a great snack for you to share with friends and family. This massive piece of sourdough bread is adorable because it looks like Mickey Mouse, and is delicious too. If you have a hungry group of people, this is the best snack to share.

Golden Gate Banana Split – Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

If you love chocolate and ice cream as much as I do, then you’ll love the Golden Gate Banana Split. This treat consists of vanilla, strawberry and Ghiradelli chocolate ice cream, topped with crushed pineapple, strawberry topping and handmade hot fudge with a banana, whipped cream, diced almonds and a cherry. If that description doesn’t make you want to go eat one right now, I’m not sure what will.

Have you ever held a fluffy little chick or nuzzled a tiny bunny?  We have a front row seat waiting just for you, where you can see your new furry friends eat and play, while learning more about them from their caretakers. Visit the babies at the Livery and Petting Coral where you can pet little lambs and goats too! March 24 only you can see Creature Encounters and listen to stories from Little Bo Peep.

Ponies are ready to take the first guests of the season for a ride and our trains will let you see the entire Park, with stops for fun and food along the way.  If you listen carefully you can hear the tink-tink-tink of the blacksmith in his shop and the tap-tap-tap of the saddle maker fashioning leather goods.

Enjoy games, craft making and many fun activities during Baby Animal Season.  When you get hungry follow your nose to the Huntsman Grill where you can get great grub and top off your day with a sweet treat at Brigham’s Donuts. They really are a little bit of sugary heaven!

And as long as the weather is cooperating with us, you can pan for gold and dig in prospectors pit, located right outside the Treasure House.  And inside the Treasure House you can crack a geode and shop our polished rocks and Native American wares.  You will also learn all about the mining industry in Utah and how it has made Utah the Treasure House of the Nation.  Hop off the train near the Native American Village to have fun in this amazing area of the Park.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross Information

(Salt Lake City, UT) – Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to bring the world’s premier off-road motorcycle racing championship series back to Salt Lake City on Saturday, April 28th – marking the 16th round (and final race before wrapping up the season in Las Vegas) of the most exciting racing season of all-time as a new era of competition will change the battleground forever with several new format changes to the most competitive and highest-profile motorcycle racing championship in the world that has entertained millions of fans for 43 years!

For the first time in over two decades, the 2018 season will debut an all-new points system to evenly allocate points over all 22 finishing positions. While the gap between 1st, 2nd and 3rd has not changed, the new points system will ensure that the race to the championship will be much more competitive throughout the season as the reward is greater for a better finish.

Also the elimination of semi races in qualifying for the Main Event will add further pressure to qualify as the world’s most elite endurance athletes will have just two chances to ensure a spot in the Main Event through one of two heat races or a last chance qualifier (LCQ). This year, the Top 9 in each heat will qualify directly into the Main Event while positions 10-20 will have one last chance to make it through the LCQ. Previously, only five positions would transfer to the Main Event from the heat races and all others would be transferred to a semi race. Eliminating the semi races will make for longer heat races and last chance qualifiers, allowing for more intense battles on the track for the fans.

Without a past champion potentially on the gate in 2018, the international field is wide open for the world’s most elite athletes to become a first-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion. Along with all the new format changes, every track in 2018 will have a distinct personality that tells the story of each city’s Supercross history.

Chocolate Wafer Bar Frozen Yogurt made with KitKat®- Bringing together milk chocolate followed by delicious wafer cookie, this flavor combines all the things we know and love about KitKats. This flavor combines real KitKat, cocoa and malt powder to serve up a delicious froyo.

On January 6, 2018 Kroger 8 oz. cheese will be $0.99 (regularly $1.99) when using a digital coupon at all Smith’s stores! You can get the digital offer at Smith’s online. This is such a fantastic offer and useful if you’d like to make these delicious homemade gluten-free cheesy tater tots.

This recipe was inspired after trying a local restaurant that served their tater tots with cheese inside the tater tot instead of the usual cheese on top of the tater tots. Let’s just say they were life changing. However, this restaurant is not in Utah Valley and is somewhere I pass only once every month or two so I knew I had to create something similar to it.

Homemade Gluten-Free Cheesy Tater Tots

Ingredients
1.5 pound potatoes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 cup Kroger shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup oil

Directions
1. Wash and peel potatoes. Cube the potatoes and cook in boiling water for about 10 minutes. The potatoes should be slightly cooked but not too soft.
2. Use a grater or food processor to shred the potatoes. The potatoes should be in small shreds. If they end up being mashed, it’s okay.
3. Let the shredded potatoes dry. Use a cheesecloth or dry towel to rid the potatoes of moisture. I let the potatoes sit out for an hour but that is unnecessary if the potatoes are dry.
4. Put the potatoes into a bowl. Add in salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cornstarch, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well.
5. Shape about 1-2 tablespoons worth of mixture into a tater tot shape. Repeat until mixture is gone.
6. Heat about 1 cup of oil in a small pot or pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop each tater tot shape into the oil. Fry about 3-4 minutes on each side if in a shallow pan. Fry about 4 minutes total if the tots are submerged. Fry until tot is evenly browned.
7. Pull the tots out and place onto a paper towel to drain and cool.

Serve with ketchup, fry sauce, or your other favorite dipping sauce.

Midway Ice Castles Discount Giveaway

Midway Ice Castles is a unique opportunity to visit man-made icicles made into a large castle. Last year, the Midway Ice Castles included tunnels and even a large slide. You can read more about our Ice Castles experience here.

This year, the Midway Ice Castles is set to open around December 29, 2017. Opening and the creation of the Ice Castles are completely reliant on the weather. In years past, it has opened earlier in the year, sometimes later, and sometimes closes early because of warmer weather.

Make note that the Midway Ice Castles will be able to be viewed at The Homestead at 700 Homestead Drive, Midway, Utah.

Parking

When pulling into The Homestead off of Homestead Drive, continue following the road left until it wraps around the “Homestead Crater.” At the end of the road you will be greeted by a parking attendant who will help you.

Wear Boots! The walking surface inside of the Ice Castles is made of crushed ice. Walking in boots is definitely best.

Buy Tickets Before You Arrive! When you buy a ticket, you buy an arrival time. We ask that you arrive within your 30 minute time window. Once you are inside the castle you can stay as long as you’d like!

Save some trees! When you buy your tickets online we’ll send you an email with a unique QR code, so there’s no need to print your tickets. We can scan the code right from your phone!

Photos are encouraged (and we want to see them! #icecastles) but we ask that you please leave photography equipment such as tripods and lights at home. For information about commercial or specialized photo sessions please email us at [email protected].

Sleds are better. We highly recommend bringing a small sled to pull children instead of a stroller. It is extremely difficult to push the stroller through the castle (think of it like trying to push a stroller through a sandy beach).
