The Provo River Parkway trail is a popular choice for families and college students in Provo. It is 15 miles long and passes by the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls. There are picnic areas along the trail where you can stop and eat with your family.

The Murdock Canal Trail is a great new trail that runs from Lehi to Orem. There are access points in other cities, as well. These include Lindon, Pleasant Grove, and Highland. This is one of our favorite family bike trails.

  • Skipper Bay Trail

This trail stretches for about 2 miles around Utah Lake in Provo. It is a great ride for kids, who can see the many different plants and animals that live around the lake. Bikes and pets are allowed.

Hobble Creek Parkway is a 4.5-mile trail in Springville, Utah. This is a very scenic ride, especially during the spring. You and your family will ride past trees and water while enjoying a relatively easy ride.

The Carterville Road trail runs along the border of Provo and Orem. Its suburban location makes for an easy, quick family ride. The trail starts behind the Ancestry.com office building.

Summer Movie Programs + Sensory-Friendly Showings 2016

0

One of the best ways to beat the heat during the summer is to pay for tickets for a summer movie program for you and the kids. Most screenings are in the morning/afternoon and are at various movie theaters. You pay one price per person for the entire summer. If multiple days are offered of the program movie showings, you may choose one day to use your pass. In our experience, we have not had a problem finding seats for our group and love seeing the movie for a dollar or less a piece. In most cases, if you do not have a pass, you may also show up on the day of the movie and pay $1 per person to watch the movie.

Click the links or images below to find the theater and the options available.

Utah Valley Events

The 23 Chick-fil-A® Restaurants in Utah will host a “Cookies for Kids” benefit for Primary Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, March 22 during restaurant hours. All sales from Chick-fil-A’s Chocolate Chunk Cookie will be donated to Primary Children’s and will benefit efforts to care for children with complex illnesses and injuries.

Primary Children’s Hospital cares for more than 200 patients each day and sees more than 40,000 emergency room visits each year.

“We’re honored to partner with Primary Children’s Hospital again this year to help contribute to the life-saving work that reaches far beyond Salt Lake City,” said Eric Champeau, franchise Operator of Chick-fil-A at Sugar House. “We encourage community members to visit any Utah Chick-fil-A restaurant and help support this worthwhile cause.”

The “Cookies for Kids” promotion raised more than $20,500 in 2014 and more than $25,000 in 2015. Chick-fil-A hopes to raise more than $30,000 through this year’s promotion.

Promotion is valid at all Utah Chick-fil-A locations on March 22 only. Valid purchases include: individual, 6-count, small trays and large trays of Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Trays must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance. Chick-fil-A will donate 100 percent of Chocolate Chunk Cookie sales to Primary Children’s Hospital. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
