Citrus Pear gives you prepared freezer meals. You prepare all of the meals one night at a location near you with a few options here in Utah County. Get meals for your family and Citrus Pear makes it easy!

I don’t know about you but my evenings always tend to get so busy, especially during the school year when school gets out and then kids have classes, practices, and games all week long. Last year we ate out way too frequently in the evening because after practices, classes, and games, it was already 7 pm and I didn’t want to take the next hour to cook dinner.

This year, I’m not going to worry about it because I have found Citrus Pear. Citrus Pear has registered dietitians who create each meal, making sure they are healthy and delicious. Citrus Pear has finally expanded to Utah Valley and I could not be more excited.

I signed up for one class at Citrus Pear. This one was located at Macey’s in Pleasant Grove. Utah County was just recently added to the Citrus Pear’s calendar which is exciting because after talking to some of the ladies in my class, apparently they had been driving up to Salt Lake from places like Spanish Fork and American Fork to attend a class.

After signing up for the class (sign up quickly because they do sell out), when the day arrived, I showed up at Macey’s with my cooler on wheels and everything else was ready for me. They had all sorts of the necessary utensils, knives, cutting boards, and even an apron to wear.

Once class started, the Citrus Pear dietitian and helpers helped us put together each meal. We all worked on the same meal at the same time. They had the meat already in a Ziploc bag and we added in seasonings. Some items would be passed around like soy sauce while others came in cans so every person received the amount of cans they needed for the meal. And some times they would come around and put the ingredients into your bag. It made putting the meal together so quick and easy.

For 20 small meals (10 unique recipes), plenty for my family for 4, I was there for 2 hours and spent $199. It sounds like a lot of money but if you are like me and keep track of every penny you spend on food each month, this ends up saving us money. Even though I feel like I don’t spend much on food, I do end up spending quite a bit on food. This gets us through every weekday of the month and means I don’t run to the store on the way home from a lesson or stop by the pizza place after practice. It means that we don’t end up ordering take out because it’s 6:30 pm and we need to eat dinner quickly before going to bed or to the next practice. Attending Citrus Pear would be a great activity for a girls night out or just some “me” time away from the family and help with meal planning.

Each meal comes with instructions with how to make it in the crock pot or Instapot and other items you may need to complete the meal. The last 2 we have made, we added some fruit we already had, tortillas, lettuce, and rice.

If you are the type that likes to be prepared and make meals ahead of time, this is for you. Make sure you register online.
