As all of my friends and family know, and probably most of you, I absolutely love Mikarose. They have modest, classy, beautiful, fun, and feminine dresses, skirts, and tops. Whenever I wear their clothes, I go from being a mom who cleans up messes, changes diapers, and cooks all the time to a real life woman. It may sound silly, but I feel magically transformed when I wear Mikarose.
I received this beautiful dress, the Charlotte, from Mikarose. Here in Utah County, the weather has already cooled down to the perfect weather so I’m ready to change my wardrobe to Fall clothes and colors. This dress is perfect for me for Fall. For those of you not used to Utah weather, it can change pretty dramatically from day to day. One day it’s cold and rainy, the next it’s hot and humid (for Utah). So I can wear any type of shoes with this dress, or boots, and I can pair it with a cardigan or wear it as-is.
I first had the Julia. I was (and still am) in love with the Julia, however, once I tried it on, I realized it wasn’t for my body shape and height. I am about five feet tall and the Julia would have been absolutely perfect for me if I had longer legs. I love this style of dress I’m wearing (Charlotte) for me because it helps me look a bit taller. I love the shape of the dress. I love the floral top. I love that it has seams that come together in the front. I love that it zips in the back. I love the extra fabric covering the chest, even if my kids do use it for a nose wipe. For me, it is perfect.
After wearing this dress for a couple of hours while taking some photos and playing with the kids, I realized that the dress is very easily wrinkled. However, maybe if I had ironed it first, it would not have wrinkled so easily. But I would much rather have a wrinkly, beautiful dress and have time with my kids that have a nicely ironed dress all the time.
If you live near Orem, Mikarose has a store in the University Mall that has most of their clothes from online plus a lot of other great clothes. I often find great deals on some really cute clothes.
Giveaway: Mikarose is offering $50 to one UCM reader. Entrants must be at least 18 years or older. The giveaway will run through October 07, 2013, until 11:59 pm MDT. Enter through the form below. Personal information is required but is only used for giveaway purposes.
