The Annual Gingerbread House Festival is sponsored by Ivory Homes and will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 3-9 pm. The Gingerbread House Festival will be held at The Garden Place in This Is The Place Heritage Park (2601 E. Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City).
Along with the chance to create your own gingerbread house and enter it into a competition (I almost did last year but ran out of time), you can also view over 40 other gingerbread houses in the amazing Gingerbread House Parade of Homes. There will also be other fun things for the family:
- Cookie Decorating
- Games with the Grinch
- Face Painting
- Candy Station
- Hot Chocolate Bar
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds from this year’s festival will go to Catholic Community Services, an organization focused on helping the homeless, refugees, and many others.
Free admission for children: Visit GingerbreadFestival.com and download the 8.5 x 11 coloring page. Have your child(ren) color it and bring the coloring page to get free admission (one coloring page per child)!
Christmas Candlelight is happening that night too. Half-priced tickets will be available at the Gingerbread Festival. Stay the whole evening for a night of family fun.
