I’m always looking for more ways to interact with my children.  I am the kind of mom that is really good at taking care of the kids by providing food, events to attend, errands to run, and reading.  My husband is the interactive one who can play any make believe scenario out with the children without even hesitating to think of what might happen next or who can wrestle and wear out the kids in a matter of minutes.  That’s why I’m so excited about this book, Pictivities.  It gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to read with children and be interactive with them.

On each page there is a picture button that shows an object, animal, or person. Each image is also linked to an action. You prompt your child to touch the button and then you both say and do the action together.

It’s also great for building up working memories as the buttons get repeated so the children can press the button and redo some of the actions.

Kickstarter Campaign:

Meg and Corbin Frost, the creators of this book, need your help.  Here’s what they have to say:

All the words and pictures for the first Pictivities book are DONE. That means there’s no waiting around while we finish our work! As soon as the Kickstarter campaign is over, if we’ve met our fundraising goal, the book will go straight into production and you will have the books before Christmas.

The money from the campaign will go exclusively toward financing the first print run of the book and toward getting the books and rewards to you!

If we can finance the first print run, we’ve got several other Pictivities books in the pipeline!

So please head to their campaign for Pictivities and help them out!
