The Utah State Fair begins today, September 8 and continues until Sunday, September 18. Here are some fun events (scroll down for a list of all events each day):
Little Hands on the Farm, September 8th – 18th, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
An interactive experience especially for children ages 2 to 10. Kids (and their parents) will gain a better understanding of the farm to grocery store process, as they become “Little Hands on the Farm!” The Little Hands on the Farm experience is included with gate admission and can be found west of the arena.
Utah’s Own PRCA Rodeo, September 8-11th
America’s original extreme sport stampedes into the Arena at 7:00 pm nightly and it’s included with paid gate admission. Come early! Seats fill up fast!
September 10th – Tough Enough To Wear Pink Night
September 11th – Patriot Night
Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest, Saturday, September 10th
The search is on for the best of the worst rotten sneakers in Utah. Odor-Eaters is back again this year and they’re looking for you; well actually they’re looking for your rotten, grotesque, smelly, just-plain-need-to-be-replaced sneakers. If you are age 5-15 and you think your sneakers are up to the task, or just want to watch the best of the worst show for the Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest.
Registration: 6:00 pm on the South Plaza Stage
Contest: 6:30 pm
Patriots Day Celebration, September 11th
Join us to honor those who selflessly serve our state and country, including all military, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel. Check the daily schedule for times and locations of the activities on this special day. Don’t miss the honorary tribute to these heroes in the Grand Entry of the Rodeo and Fireworks at dusk after the Rodeo.
Dairy Farmers of Utah Ice Cream Festival, September 12th in the Specialty Tent
All the ice cream you can eat for $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children age 12 and under. It begins at 3:00 p.m. and ends when the ice cream is gone!
Draft Horse Pull, September 14th in the Arena
Thousands of pounds of pure muscle in one place on one night. Don’t miss this years competition! This event is free with paid gate admission. It all begins at 6:00 pm in the Arena.
Utah Beef Council – Beef Feast, September 16th in the Specialty Tent
Don’t miss the Beef Feast! It begins at 11:00 am. All of the grub is cooked on site. A sandwich with chips is $6.00, and $2.00 for a drink. Once you try it, you’ll be back year after year.
UTTPI Truck Pull, September 17th in the Arena
Don’t miss these smoke breathing, dirt flipping, engine revving monsters compete. The action begins at 2:00 pm. This is a ticketed event – prices are $12.00 if purchased in advance or $17.00 day of show and include your admission to the Fair!
Jr. Livestock Auction, September 17th in the Livestock Showring
Register to bid on 4-H/ FFA raised livestock. Auction begins at 2:00 pm in the livestock showring. Help youth develop responsibility, gain knowledge and skill in livestock production and become contributing members of society. You will be making an investment in their future!
Demolition Derby, September 18th in the Arena
ALL SEATS RESERVED!
Get your tickets NOW! $20.00 in advance and $25.00 day of show. This hard hitting derby offers fun and excitement for Fairgoers of all ages. The action begins at 6:00 pm.
