Road Trip and Drive In
Kids will decorate cardboard box cars and then do an activity along the road through the Family Vacation Exhibition. They will finish up in the Lower Level Youth Gallery where they can sit in their cars and watch cartoons and enjoy popcorn.

free and open to the public. The artist’s name is Fahimeh Amiri, an acclaimed painter and children’s book illustrator. Amiri grew up in Iran before coming to the United States for a graduate degree in art. She will talk about her experiences as a woman growing up in Iran and how the culture has affected her art work. There will be Persian food and music as well.

Glass Artists from Spectrum Studios and Holdman Studios, featured in the current exhibition Passages and Pathways, will speak about and/or demonstrate glass techniques. There will also be art projects related to glasswork.
