Happy Holidays!  It’s Kim here, and I wanted to mention a couple of things.

One, we’re doing giveaways through Facebook this week because of the holidays and because I wanted to somehow show you how much I appreciate you.  Yes, you.

Without you, there would be absolutely no reason for me to do what I do.

I first began this a few years ago because I wanted to know more about what was going on in Utah County because I found this place completely boring.  Everything “cool” was happening in Salt Lake.  Turns out, if you go looking for things to do, you can find them here, too!  And so it began.  I’ve spent hundreds of hours putting effort into this blog and this year, I’ve finally felt like ti was all worth it.  You readers are so great to me and assure me that what I’m doing is worth it.  So I just wanted to let you know that you are worth it.

Many other bloggers blog because they have some great creativity product to show you or some fantastic life to tell you about but I just want to show you the goodness that is out there in Utah County and beyond.  Time with your children, your family, your loved ones, your friends, and anyone else you spend time with is so precious and I, like many of you, find some of my most favorite moments when we’re out as a family exploring new things and attending (free) events.

So this is why I’m here.  This is why I work so hard most weeks.  It’s because of you.  It has very little to do with businesses and other sponsors.  Those are sometimes just a small perk.  This blog is for all of you out there just wanting to know what else to do other than going to a movie and going bowling.

Thank you for making Utah Valley Moms what it is and I look forward to this upcoming year with you!

So now, if you haven’t yet, jump over to Facebook where we’ll be giving away things all week.  I know it’s a busy week with family, friends, and all, but I just want to show you how much I appreciate you!

  1. Thanks again for sharing these events! I love following you on FB and on Instagram I really appreciate the “free” things in life as they are what are the most fun especially these days as the economy is still struggling it’s so fun to be able to take our kids out. We should do a group playdate when the weather is warm or at classic or something it would be so fun to meet you in person and all of your great followers 🙂

    • Liz, you’re so sweet and I think that’s a great idea! I’ve actually been thinking about a big play date for Utah Valley Moms as it gets warmer and so I’m so glad you mentioned it! That verifies that it’s a good idea! Thank you for following and being such a great supporter!

  2. I am so glad I found this blog. My family recently moved from Salt Lake City and I have been missing all of the activities available there. Thank you for taking the time to put this blog together and I am excited to see more!

    • Elizabeth, I am so glad you found it! Thank you so much for your support and I hope that I can help you find out more about what goes on in Utah County! But I remember well what it was like to move from Salt Lake and it’s a hard transition – in fact, 8 years later, I’m still adjusting! Hope you’re enjoying it though!
