I’ve been to a few National Parks in my life but I’ve definitely never been while they’re free. However, I have had friends and family members that have gone to them when they are open and free to the public and although it’s been crowded, everyone has reported back that it was worth it, especially the kids. (Although kids never seem to mind when places are crowded like adults do.)

January 21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 22-26 – National Park Week
August 25 – National Park Service Birthday
September 28 – National Public Lands Day
November 9-11 – Veterans Day Weekend
