These are a few of the Utah County Memorial Day events happening for May 26, 2014.
Alpine: We are proud to honor our veterans at the annul Memorial Day Program, Monday May 26th @ 7am at the City cemetery. A light refreshment will be served, but we will not be hosting a pancake breakfast this year.
Lindon: Join the City for a Memorial Day ceremony, this Monday at 9:00am, at the Lindon City Cemetery 550 North 200 East.
Orem: Orem Cemetary at 9 am
Mapleton: A Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Mapleton City Park located on the southeast corner of Maple Street and Main Street. The guest speaker will be Robert Freeman, who wrote the book “Saints at War.”
Salem: The annual Salem Memorial Day service will be held at 8 a.m. Monday at the Salem City Cemetery.
Santaquin: The Santaquin Fire Department is hosting a Memorial Day Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at 275 W. Main St. The cost is $5 a plate per person, or $20 for an immediate family group of six or more. The menu is scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, milk, juice and coffee. The proceeds stay within the Santaquin Fire Department and are used to support the burn center, members in need, and to supply the firemen with T-shirts and hats.
