This year Christmas In Color in Utah is located at Provo Towne Center Mall and at the Equestrian Center in South Jordan. It is a dancing light and music display. You get to sit in the comfort of your own car and drive through the display.
Load up your friends and family into the van (or car, or truck) and experience Christmas like never before. Drive through acres of more than 1.5 million lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music you’ll hear right through your radio. You’ll drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways and more. It’s like being immersed in another world. In fact, we won’t judge you if you join the kids with your face pressed against the window.
This is the second year we’ve enjoyed Christmas In Color. Last year it was at the Utah Lake State Park and we really enjoyed that location because there was no one else around. It felt like a fun, secret location that only we knew about (and all the other cars around us, ha ha). This year they moved to the Provo mall parking lot. It is easily accessible but I can imagine that the parking lot can get really busy at times, making it a little more frustrating to get to the location.
The unfortunate thing about this year’s location is that there are cars and people all over the place. It drew away from the experience and didn’t feel as cozy as the Utah Lake location.
The positive, however, is that the kids loved it. We turned the music up in our cars, rolled the windows down, and the kids stood up (in our SUV) as we very slowly rolled through the lights. We sang, the kids yelled out the window out of pure joy, and they loved all the dancing lights.
The average is about 15-20 minutes to go through the lights. With more cars it can take longer, with fewer cars, we tended to go through it pretty fast.
I would recommend loading up your family and friends in a larger SUV or even the bed of a truck. The price is per car, not per person, so take advantage and use up your space! I have heard plenty of complaints about how expensive it is, however, when you take the total, $20 per vehicle with the discount below, and you divide it among the people that are in your car, it comes out to a reasonable price. Our car holds 5 and we could have loaded at least 5 more adults/kids into the front and back part of our small SUV which would have made it $4 per person with the 5 of us, $2 per person if we had squeezed more people in.
Is it worth the price? In my opinion, especially per person, yes. It is not something I would do more than once a season, although I would drive to the other location, but it is a fun family activity. I enjoy seeing holiday light but I would much prefer to enjoy it from the comfort of my car with heat. I enjoyed the lights and music and the experience.

Time slots are sold for 30 minute increments. You can arrive anytime within the purchased 30 minute time period. We will not guarantee your admission if you arrive outside of your purchased time slot.

Happy Hour
Happy Hour is only valid on the same day of event booking within the first hour of the evening (5:30 – 6:30 pm in Utah and 6:00 – 7:00 pm in Arizona). You can opt to see the show twice within the happy hour (we promise you will) or bring a 2nd vehicle with you and they’ll get in free. When purchasing your ticket, no redemption code is needed. Simply arrive with one ticket and tell us whether you want to see it twice or if you brought a 2nd vehicle with you. Vehicles must arrive at the same time. Promotion not valid Dec. 18th – Dec. 21st.
