Join the Utah History Hunt from July 18 through September 14. Explore history and museums, learn about history, and win prizes for all of the learning! All of the featured locations are open 5-7 days a week, so parents can plan their visits according to what works for their family’s schedule. The program is meant to encourage families to visit local historical sites, learn more about the children’s book series Just in Time, and have fun!
So what do you need to do to get started?
- Pick up a Past-Port at any of the Utah History Hunt historical locations or a participating Barnes & Noble store.
- Visit any THREE of the historical locations and have your Past-Port stamped each time.
- Turn in your stamped Past-Port at a participating Barnes & Noble store* for a small prize AND for a chance to win a grand prize.
The locations include the Church History Museum, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, Springville-Mapleton Pioneer Museum, Peteetneet Museum and Cultural Arts Center, Camp Floyd STate Park Museum, Orem Heritage Museum, Provo Pioneer Village, and the Historic Provo Library at Academy Square.
If you choose to not pick up a Past-Port there, you may also pick one up at the Barnes & Noble at 330 East 1300 South, Orem or 10180 South State Street, Sandy.
