Kick off the summer with fun for the whole family! Family Festival is a special time for the community to come together for summer fun! Dates for the 18th annual 2013 Family Festival are June 3-8.
June 3: Family Swim Night
June 4: Firecracker Golf Tournament
June 6: Family Fun Run
June 7: Carnival, Steak Dinner ($5) and Movie in the Park
June 8: Parade, Carnival, Concert in the Park, Fireworks
Buy tickets for the Swim Night, Friday Night Dinner, and Carnival before May 31, and SAVE! Ticket prices have been REDUCED!
Family Swim Night – June 3
Bring the family for a fun night at the Pleasant Grove Veteran’s Memorial Pool, 450 West 500 North. The pool will be open to us from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $2 per person, age two and up. Purchase tickets at the gate or order in advance using the ticket order form above.
Firecracker Golf Tournament – June 4
Sign up your foursome at the Cedar Hills Golf Club, 10640 N Clubhouse Drive, or call the Pro Shop at 801-796-1705. Tournament begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Family Fun Run – June 6
This traditional one-mile run will be held at night this year! Race begins at 8:30 p.m. More details to follow.
Carnival – June 7 & 8
The Family Festival Carnival is held at Heritage Park, 4425 W Cedar Hills Drive, from 11am to 10:30pm. Midway West Carnival will provide rides, games, and concessions. Purchase tickets for the carnival rides at the gate, or order tickets in advance before May 31 and SAVE!
Children’s Games – June 8
The Youth City Council will be on hand to provide children’s games, including the popular Buried Treasure Hunt at the volleyball court at noon, the Ducky Derby in the creek at 12:30, BINGO, face painting, and more!
Steak Dinner and Movie in the Park – June 7
Enjoy a catered steak dinner for $5 at 7pm, and then kick back and watch a family-friendly movie under the stars. Bring blankets, pillows, and lawn chairs for a fun family time! Tickets for the dinner will be available at the gate, or order tickets in advance and SAVE! The movie is free for everyone!
Parade – June 8
The Family Festival Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Deerfield Elementary School, runs west on Harvey Blvd., north on 4600 West, then east on Cedar Hills Drive to Heritage Park. The grand marshal this year will be Quincy Lewis, Lone Peak High School’s head basketball coach and recent recipient of the Naismith Boys High School Basketball Coach of the Year award.

A Taste of Cedar Hills—Baking Contest
Do you like to bake? Enter a baked item in the Family Festival baking contest for a chance to win great prizes! The contest will be held on Sat., June 8, at the Heritage Park pavilion at 4:00 p.m. If you would like to enter the contest, please contact Kaity at 801-785-9668, ext. 300, or e-mail [email protected]. This year we are starting a new tradition. We will hold a separate baking contest for kids. More information will be coming.
