  • Liberty Park: July 25, Deseret News Marathon ending location. The marathon will begin at the top of Big Mountain above Emigration Canyon. The 10K will begin at Research Park, 500 S. Wakara Way, 6 a.m., and the 5K walk will begin at Energy Solutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, 7 a.m. (www.deseretnewsmarathon.com)
  • Pioneer Memorial Museum: July 25, noon-5 p.m., crafts and activities, 300 N. Main (www.dupinternational.org)
  • Liberty Park Fireworks @ dusk (9:30-10 pm-ish) after the Native American Celebration (7 am-fireworks)
