  1. I would love to watch these fun Halloween movies with my little girl. My favorite growing up was It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

  2. It wasn’t Halloween at our house unless we had watched the following, Double Double Toil and Trouble, Hocus Pocus, and the Halloween Town movies!

  3. One very very dark night, My mom & dad went to the grocery story… I was left home all alone. While walking through the empty house I looked out the window
and saw a shadow man standing outside! Scared out of my pajamas, I ran to hide
    in the bathtub.
Next thing I hear, something is knocking at the back door! KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! I tippy toe to the back door… and heard a quiet voiceask to come inside.
My dad must be playing a trick on me…But when I opened the door there was a flash of light and I screamed. When I looked again it was just my dad coming home from the store with his hands full of groceries.

  4. One very dark night, my mom and dad went to the grocery store and left me home all alone.
While walking through the house I looked out the window and saw a shadow man standing outside.
Scared out of my pajamas I ran to hide under my bed.
Next thing I hear something is knocking at the back door!
    KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
I tippy-toe to the back door…and hear a quiet voice asking to come inside.
My dad must be playing a trick on me.
But when I opened the door no one was there.
So I went back inside and picked up the phone to call my parents but the phone was dead.
Then I heard KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! again.
Once again I opened the door and there stood a man dressed like Thomas Hewitt aka Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies with a chainsaw reving it up. I screamed and almost fainted until my mom hollered at my dad to knock it off. Then I realized I was the one that was tricked. Mom gave me a long john from the bakery so I would be treated too.

  5. My story is not a story because it really happened to us. One year Halloween was on a Saturday, the same day as the opening of duck hunting. My teenage son happened to get two ducks. Once the ducks were retrieved, he thought they were dead, so he stuck them in the trunk of the car. Going down the road, they heard quacking from the back. So, he goes back and cracks the neck. Sooo, he has them in the house de-feathering it and it stands up and starts flying around in the house. Yeah, feathers, screaming and kids at the front door yelling trick or treat. Soooooo, my son grabs it and takes it outside. He took an axe and took off its head. It got to be dead, right. Noooooo, the headless ducks gets up and flew into our neighbors backyard. So, my son runs after it. He is bloody and has feathers stuck to him. He thought the coast was clear and started to bring the duck back. Unfortunaltely, the kids running from house to house saw him holding a headless duck and the kids ran off screaming. Forever known as the Halloween of the Headless Duck.

  6. I was always a little scared of the dark, so Trick or Treating was always a little scary for me.

A funny story: My very trustworthy aunt once put out all her Halloween candy on a box on the porch with a sign: Please Take One. When she checked a few minutes later, all the candy had vanished!

  7. Crud. My 7 month old kept me up all night, and I posted my Tweet link in the Badge box. I do have your badge on my blog, though, at (right sidebar under “Blogs to Follow”).
