There are two places that UCM is currently aware of if you want to see fireworks in Utah County on July 4, 2013.

America’s Freedom Festival, Stadium of Fire, at the LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. There will be the concert, and following the concert, usually around 10 pm, the fireworks will begin. You will want to reserve some seating to see the firework display early because room to sit and enjoy the fireworks fills up fast!

Where can you see the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire? A favorite location is on the hill in front of the Provo LDS Temple (900 E. and Temple View Drive). The grass in front of the Marriott Center on BYU campus is also a great place to see them. Other locations include Rock Canyon Park, grassy areas near Seven Peaks, the grass in front of Glenwood apartments (University Avenue and University Parkway), and hiking up to the Y on the mountain. Locations we’re not sure about include a school near 2320 N and 650 E. and on BYU campus. Remember, to find a good location, you must stake out your spot early. Many people arrive during the afternoon and early evening and will stay. Also, traffic gets congested after the fireworks so plan in time to possibly sit in a lot of traffic. Independence Day Fireworks at Thanksgiving Point’s Electric Park in Lehi. Concessions, vendors, and activities for a nominal fee will be in the park leading up to the fireworks, which are set off from the north side of the property. Bring a blanket and enjoy a fun evening outdoors. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.
